Paul and the Faithfulness of God (3 vols.)The newest collection by N. T. Wright.

The much-anticipated fourth release in Wright’s Christian Origins and the Question of God series explores Paul’s worldview and theology in light of Second Temple Judaism, and addresses all the key areas of debate in contemporary Pauline studies. This three-volume set also includes a compilation of Wright’s most influential articles on Paul over the last 30 years. If you’re interested in Pauline studies, this collection is essential.

It's not showing up as available for pre-order on Amazon (I use real books) - do you know if it is?

Three volumes! You know "Christian Origins and the Question of God" was supposed to be three volumes total, right? Now it'll likely be a minimum of seven. I've still been waiting for this installment for a long time.

If you know where an actual, real book (hard copy) is available for pre-order, or have the ISBN of the 3 vol. collection, or the 3 ISBNs of the individual volumes, please let me know.

The Anchor Bible was originally supposed to be 28 volumes and be finished within 10 years....it is currently 84 volumes, will be 120 volumes when finished, has outlived both of its original editors (William Foxwell Albright who died in 1971 and David Noel Freedman who died in 2008) it was begun in 1956 and will probably need at least another 20 years before it's done.

The Oxford English Dictionary was supposed to be in one volume and take around 10 years to complete......it ended up taking 27 years just to produce the first volume A-Ant, the entire dictionary fills 10 volumes and it took 76 years to finish it (1857-1928).

I always find it interesting when supposedly 'simple' projects blow out to be a zillion times bigger and more difficult than was originally planned.
