I could easily become that character. So, in buying a Bible recently I had to be as logical as possible and not buy a perfectly good Bible that wasn't quite what I wanted.
Leighton, very funny and accurate cartoon! And I got a chance to check out the Drawn to Life Ministries blog...all your drawings are so very well done. I really like the aesthetic AND the quotes are so spiritually enlightening. What an awesome talent....keep up the good work.
I happened to check your blog last week, hoping (but not expecting) that your break from blogging might have ended; I was overjoyed to find that it had. Your Bible reviews are invaluable and I am very appreciative of your contribution to the Catholic blogosphere. Good luck with your young family!
I wonder if there is a market for a Catholic journaling Bible. I haven't seen one yet. These seem to be selling very well in Protestant circles, esecially among young girls and women. The ones that sell well (like the Inspire Bible) have pre-drawn illustrations on 400 or so pages, and the reader colors them with markers, paint, crayons, etc. They combine the Bible (usually single column plus extra wide margins) with the adult coloring craze. I saw some on YouTube that are quite creative and crafty. And the journaling aspect encourages highlighting, notes, drawing, doodles and any other creative activity. I would love to see great Catholic artists (like Leighton) create a journaling Bible with awesome illustrations and lettering. But would Catholics buy them? Or could they be so well done that they could attract even those outside the Church? Just a thought.
Brilliantly that just about sums it all up. Did anyone get 2016 printing of the Didache Bible. Just got a leather one which is smaller or say thinner block than 2014 hardcover copy and 2015 leather one?

Daniel, thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the Drawn to Life blog.
And it's an honor to post a 'toon on Tim's Bible blog. I've enjoyed it for several years. It's always good to be among kindred spirits!
Oh dear. Oh my goodness.
I'm literally in every panel of this comic.
I think I may have a problem.
Haha! I just showed this to my wife and she said, "Did you write this?"
My name is Rolf and I am an addict!

Daniel,
I wonder if there is a market for a Catholic Chronological Bible. I bet there is!
