Sunday Knox: Trinity Sunday

2 Corinthians 13:11-13

Knox:
We wish you all joy. Perfect your lives, listen to the appeal we make, think the same thoughts, keep peace among yourselves; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with the kiss of saints. All the saints send you their greeting. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the imparting of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

NAB:
Rejoice! Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the holy ones greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

The "imparting" in v.13 had me scurrying to check a bunch of translations. Interesting to look into communication/communicatio/koinonia before Mass. Hooray for Vulgate translations! Thanks for taking the time to do the Sunday Knox posts, Tim.

Happy Fathers Day to you and all the Catholic Bibles fathers out there.

There is an awesome FREE Bible app for comparing Vulgate translations! The "And Bible" app includes the Douay Rheims, Catholic Public Domain Version (modern English), Vulgate, KJV/Apocrypha with Strongs Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries, and much more! It is nice because one can quickly toggle between translations and navigate through the Strongs easily. I have been using this one in conjunction with the Lighthouse App for the RSV-2CE. For taking to Mass, I still think the Baronius pocket DR and the MTF Daily Missal are the perfect combo! Happy Father's Day Tim and blog readers!
