I have the Harper NABRE for Kindle. I really enjoy it for reading as my main Lection Divina, however it has not been formatted optimally for navigation.
The problem is that when I want to go to a particular chapter of a book, I have to scroll through the lengthy introductions before getting to the list of chapters. You should be able to click on "Matthew" and then click right onto what chapter you want.
Thanks, Tim. I picked up this one and the NABRE at the deeply discounted prices. I would like to see an e-bible with and weekend and weekday lectionary with links to the readings so you can jump right to that day's reading and jump back to the lectionary to then go to the next reading.
The St. Benedict Press NABRE has both the Sunday (A, B, and C) and Weekday (I, and II) lectionary readings in the back as links. If the lectionary reading is different than the actual text of the NABRE, though, it won't match (so it doesn't skip verses if they're omitted or whatever).
What is the difference besides the order of the books between the NRSV 'with apocrypha' and the NRSV CE? Does the NRSV include genuinely apocryphal books Psalm 151 etc>
There is no difference between the NRSV w/ Apocrypha and the NRSV-CE except for the order of the books. The NRSV-CE puts them in Catholic OT order, and appends the "Catholic apocrypha" that were translated for the NRSV, such as 3-4 Maccabees, in to an OT appendix.
The text is identical. The books/table of contents are/is identical.
Well, the NRSV-CE comes in many fewer editions and tends to be more expensive with poorer production values, as well. Even a liberal Bible, when you slap "Catholic" in the title of it, seems to have its available editions reduced by at least two-thirds. (Most of the "really nice" Bibles tend to be ones beloved of Evangelicals.)
That's one reason I've resolved myself - happily, after a while - to using "xxV w/ Apocrypha" or "xxV" with a separate volume (of course, the second option isn't an option for people who desire compactness).

Thanks for noting this deal. I just brought the NABRE! So far its ok, but I really prefer ether the RSV-2CE or the NRSV.

Yes, it includes books like Psalm 151, 3&4 Maccabees, and others like them.
