The Knox Bible is now available for
purchase. The list price on the Baronius Press website is $54.95, which includes the paperback edition of
On Englishing the
Bible by Msgr. Knox. It is currently available in a black leather hardbound edition. For more information on the Knox Bible, Baronius Press has set up a nice promotional website for it, which you can view

Well I guess I can only hope that it becomes available somewhere other than the Baronius Press web page because that site will not allow me to submit an order...it rejects all 3 of my credit cards for no apparent reason...even though I am nowhere near my credit limit...someone needs to explain to Baronius Press that if you want to sell something you have to be willing to accept a payment...

Well, technically, it is not Baronius that is the problem, it is HSCB, the bank processing their payments, that is the issue...if you're sure you've entered the card info correctly and that your card is not maxed out..call your credit card company...that's what I did and I was finally able to get it through....
It also doesn't seem to accept debit cards....it needs to be an actual credit card apparently...
Yikes! I've placed orders with Baronius in the past -- and I had no problems with them ever (including this morning, when I ordered the Knox.)
I have to say I really liked the way Baronius's Douay-Rheims-Challoner standard-size black leather hardcover edition (now out of print) turned out.
It looks like the Knox edition has very similar binding and size (and identical price) so I have high hopes for the physical characteristics of this volume.

It redirects to HSBC Payments to process the credit card, and redirects to some other intermediate web page somewhere in there. Chrome played nice with it; it rejected my order in Firefox (although I have a crapload of security add-ons, even with all scripts and such allowed, it still threw an error once I got to the HSBC page).
It won't take either Discover or American Express (I tried, those are my best cards, Discover has 5% cash back on all online shopping until the end of the year), but it took my MasterCard.
