My understanding was there are two categories of senses of Scripture - 1) Literal/historical (what the plain meaning is or how it explains or applies to historical events) and 2) Spiritual
Under the second one however, Spiritual, there are three subcategories of 1) Typological/Christological (how it applies to Christ or the Church or Christians) 2) Tropological/Moral (how it applies to us today and how we should act, think or speak - morality), 3) Anagogical/eternal (how it applies to the four last things, specifically the End Times and Eternity)...
I guess you could say there are four senses in all but they are grouped under two categories
