Anyone Have an NABRE?
Yesterday was the official publication date for the NABRE, but I have yet to receive a copy. I ordered two editions of the Oxford NABRE, the large print and compact, from Amazon.com and the ultra-soft NABRE directly from Saint Benedict Press. However, I have yet to receive any indication from either of them as to the status or expected shipping date. So, if you happen to get your hands on a copy, I'd love to hear what your first impressions are of it.

Indeed Amazon is indicating that they don't know when the Oxford volumes will be in stock. Based on prior experience with Oxford this could be a rather long delay. (Or maybe not.)
Also, I believe the paperback editions from Saint Benedict Press are available today.
Nope!. RSVCE and Douay Rheims, my two editions, suit me fine.
Are the St. Benedict editions available today?
It is not clear to me that Amazon is actually shipping them -- Amazon claims 1-3 weeks availability on the paperback and hardcover. I've noticed before that this availability message sometimes is posted when a book misses its release date.
Received the St. Benedicts edition yesterday 3/10. I haven't read all of the introductions, however, I was wondering if anyone knew WHY 1 & 2 Maccabees was moved from after Malachi (as in my Douay Rheims) to after Esther? They are listed in the 'Historical Book' index, but I haven't found the reason for the move. I assume the re-arrangement was to keep all the historical books together???
I bought this but I'm sticking to the Douay Rheims.

The paperback edition is available. I have one on the way from the publisher. The ultra-soft isn't ready as of yet.

While the RSV and DR usually placed both Maccabees at the end of the OT, most other Bibles place them with the historical books in order to keep them all contained in one unit. The Jerusalem Bibles, NRSV, NABs and others do this.
