Those of you interested in the upcoming NIV 2011 Study Bible can see some sample pages
here. Visually, it looks fantastic and measures up well compared to the ESV and NLT study Bibles. Would love to see this kind of production value in a future Catholic study Bible.

I am very imppressed by the way the sample page on Matthew lists ALL the main gospel-origin theories and deals with them as theories. Now THATS objectivity without an agenda.
Nice visuals. Nice layout. Has features that are also found on Little Rock Study Bible but these are more nicely done I think.
I'm surprised to see a Protestant study bible (other than the Lutherans) that uses religious art of the Lord. This is good.

...and may I add, from the sample pages, covenants, have been brought to the fore. perhaps they took a cue from Scott Hahn's work "A Father Who Keeps His Promises". perhaps not. in any case, I'm glad to see this parallel emphasis on covenants.
