According to
Ignatius Insight Scoop, the
Ignatius Catholic Study Bible: The Book of Genesis is in-stock and available for order. There is also a
sample page from Genesis 13 for your viewing pleasure. The sale price on the Ignatius site is $8.46. Let's hope we see more of the Old Testament volumes published this year. How about a complete, one volume
Ignatius Catholic Study Bible in 2015?

This is good news. I'm not sure I'd want a single volume for the entire ICSB - it would have weigh a ton! Separate volumes for the Pentateuch, Historical, Prophetic, and Sapiential books would themselves be pretty big, if there are as many notes as there are in the New Testament.
Francesco,
I am guessing that they are going to have to reformat or at least reduce the print size in order to make the entire study Bible fit in one volume. It really needs to be a one volume study Bible, IMHO.
I agree that if its going to be used in school settings, having a single volume is essential. I just don't see how they do it without cutting down on the notes. Do you think they'd ever come out with an abridged version?
The ESV study Bible, NLT study Bible and HCSB study Bible each have more notes and material than the ICSB. The isuue seems to be formating, font choices, paper selection and binding / production issues. For example the NLT commissioned a new font designed to fit 10% more text on a page. So- I believe a single volume ICSB is very workable.

I wish to add that I like the ICSB booklets. I received Genesis in the mail last Monday and it's huge- the size of a magazine - with gigantc print and thick paper I can write on and highlight to my heart's content.

Brad,
I agree with you 100%. It is all about how they format. The ESV SB has a ton more info than the ICSB.
