  1. Timothy,

this is an off-topic. And it is about Fr. King, whose bible translation I haven't read. Still, I think this interview to him on translating the bible might be of interest:

    Nicholas King on Translation

  2. Javier, I like that he translates from the LXX. Here is a sample of his translation: www.bibles.wikidot.com/sample-king

I don't know if his translation is being sold in the U.S. or anywhere else. The Bible is not cheap to begin with and then it is 43 pounds to ship to the U.S. and Canada, ouch!

  3. Timothy,
After posting the above post 3 days ago and reading the excerpts from Fr. Nicholas King's translation of the Bible, I purchased a paperback copy of his New Testament translation. The whole study Bible (imitation leather cover which was published in fall 2013)is 2400 pages and costs $90+ US dollars plus shipping from England is over $60 dollars. Too much money, so I looked on e-bay and purchased King's paperback New Testament for $25 dollars and free shipping from England. This way I will get a good taste of his translation and will see if it is worth purchasing this Bible in the future. Free shipping probably means that they shipped it from England on the Kon Tiki!
